LinkedIn allows you to share ideas, concepts, employment opportunities, polls, files, etc. with a professional community like no other. Its world-wide reach, offers an invaluable access to information. It can help you understand what other in your field of expertise are doing. It can help you share information with the world. It can help you answer professional questions or concerns about your business or work.
Just recently I met with a friend that had just bought a new computer. It happen to be a Mac. By going over my profile she noticed that I belong to a Mac Group. Being new to Mac, she had questions about software. She joined the group and posted a question for discussion. She was amazed by the people around the globe that responded to her post. By reading through the feedback, she was able to make a decision on which software she needed.
As you can see, LinkedIn is not JUST another social media site. It is a valuable tool. For those of you that own your own business, ask yourself… Where can you get instant professional feedback about your business or get different angle/look to a particular situation? Nowhere! So don’t be afraid of social media sites like LikedIn. Use them to your advantage. You have the power of the world at your finger tips.
